I am directed to inform you that His Excellency the

Governor has ordered proceedings to be taken against you under General

Orders 83 to 104. The grounds of the intended suspension are as fol-

-lows:-

(a). That between the hours of 3.30 p.m. and 4 o'clock p.m.

of Tuesday the 2nd. April, 1913, you whilst attending

at the top floor of No. 51, Queen's Road East in this

Colony in the course of your duty as a Sanitary Inspect-

-or did unlawfully assault and attempt to commit an

indecent assault upon the occupier being one adult

woman Judith Eucharys Xavier the wife of Cregory laria

Xavier a clerk in the Gas Company against the will of

the said Judith Eucharys Xavier.

(b). That about 2.30 p.m. on Friday the 25th. April, 1913,

you whilst attending at the top floor of llo. 51, Queen's Road East in this Colony in the course of your duty as a Sanitary Inspector did unlawfully assault and attempt to commit an indecent assault upon the said adult

woman Judith Eucharys Xavier the wife of the said

Gregory Maria Xavier against the will of the said Judith Eucharys Xavier.

I am therefore to call upon you to state in writing before the 10th. day of May, 1913, any grounds upon which you rely to exculpate yourself.

I am also directed to remind you that you have been

interdicted from the exercise of the powers and functions of your office as from the 23rd. April, 1913, and to inform you that until proceedings have been taken for your suspension you will be allowed to
